Resumen

El desarrollo de las técnicas de neuroimagen funcional ha permitido su empleo cada vez más frecuente en las patologías psiquiátricas, ayudando en el diagnóstico diferencial de algunas enfermedades, correlacionando la sintomatología con los hallazgos de imagen en casos difíciles, valorando e incluso prediciendo la respuesta a la medicación y mejorando el conocimiento sobre la patogénesis de estos trastornos. En este trabajo se presenta la aplicación de esta nueva tecnología (PET, SPECT, EEG) al Síndrome de Gilles de la Tourette (GdT).
